P.R.I.M.E. Program Can Make an Impact

The San Bernardino County Prevention, Resource, Intervention, Mentoring, Education (P.R.I.M.E.) Program is a grass roots non-profit organization dedicated to serving high risk, low income, probation, and foster child or ward of court youth and young adults in our community.  There is no other program like P.R.I.M.E. in our community.

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, over half of all adolescents are living at risk whether it be from poverty, absent parents, substance abuse, physical and or emotional abuse.  Over 21.6% of youth in San Bernardino County live in poverty and over 23% ages 16-19 were not in school and half of those were unemployed.

Just think... these are just some of the statistics in one county.

It is time for someone to take a stand for our future workers, businesspersons, and leaders of America.

Prevention

Our goal is to prevent incarceration, teen pregnancy, drug use, homelessness and unemployment.

Mentoring

Our goal is to provide positive role models from volunteer staff, also with peers who have successfully completed the program.  Thus, teaching self-esteem.

Resources

Our goal will be to provide the resources necessary to obtain the documents for employment, high-school and or college education.

Education

Our goal is to provide correct and accurate up to date information teaching independent living skills in all of our workshops that are essential for becomming productive young adults.

Intervention

The staff will intervine when necessary to redirect youth from making decisions that are resulting in undesirable behavior and dealing with anger management.
